Obsessive searching for vintage mountain bikes and components. Some occasional road bike love too.

NOS Campagnolo bar con covers

Those bar cons I bought needed new covers. Well here they are.

Moots Ti 100mm stem

I had been looking for a Ti stem for my Moots Vamoots. This one is perfect.

Campagnolo friction bar cons

These are the "Charlie-approved" shifters for a drop bar Cunningham. I was happy to pick up an extra set.

Michelin Hi-Lite Tour 27 1 3/8

My Cunningham Expedition uses a 27 inch front wheel and a 700c rear wheel. Fortunately, Panaracer makes a nice 27 inch tire, but I was still happy to find these period correct Hi-Lites to replace the crusty ones which are currently on the bike.

Sedis Traveller Chain

A new Suntour chain just went for around $115, which seems high to me. Back in the day, I was always a Sedis man and so was very happy to pick this one up. Indeed, the model is better than the one I used to favor.

Smart Tools Angle Finder

Curious to find out the geo on my bikes, I picked up this neat tool.

1983 Stumpjumper

New seat, grips and tires, but other wise original and clean. The production bike that brought mountain biking to the masses.

Early Steve Potts CCR

The dude that sold this bike to the ebay seller called the bike a WTB Racer. Maybe he mistook the name, but I am not so sure. This bike, built by Steve Potts, has a number of details that differentiate it from later CCRs (cross country racers). The cable guides are very different and the fork is fillet brazed, not TIG welded. The bike has just enough patina to keep it real too. Oh yea, dibs on stems etc was a fantastic bonus.

Wolber tubulars (for mountain bikes!)

I am given to understand that the kids are starting to use something like these again. I suppose that means that Wolber was ahead of its time. I have wanted some Wolber products for my collection (hoard) so happy to find this unusual item. I wonder why so many people want to call the company Wobler.

Newsboy Hat

I have a Newsboy (from the original run of 100) so why not get the hat too?!

More Breezer goodies - bars and front derailleur!

Slowly, slowly, the pieces are coming together. I found a vintage Magura bar that should do the trick and a NIB (new in box) Suntour VX front derailleur. The frame will be re-nickel plated and I have some parts at the plater for a test run.
