Steve Potts 88 #388180

Very happy about the latest addition to the collection. Today I picked up a red Steve Potts fillet-brazed bike from 86/87. The bike is a nice transition example, highlighting the craftsmanship that Steve's bikes exhibited from the first, but with refinements to componentry. This bike features a partial later-WTB group. Missing are the fixed-angle seatpost (FASP), Chris King Grease Guard headset and the accoutrements of a drop bar set up (WTB RM-2 and WTB shifter adapters).

What the bike does have are front and rear WTB Speedmaster rollercam brakes, taper stem, Grease Guard hubs, bottom bracket and front brake stop. More subtely, the bike has a Steve Potts modified cassette, where the teeth have been machined and the spacing modifed for Shimano-compatibility.
