Sean Kelly rides the Tourmalet - retro!

Tour de France time and I can't say enough about Sean Kelly's commentary on Eurosport. I was very excited to here that Sean had joined a Tourmalet ride at the invitation of an old team mate. The team mate and friend had made all the arrangements to get Sean a bike, kit, and shoes. The ride celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Tour's arrival at the Tourmalet. What Sean didn't know is that all the gear he was going to get was circa 1920 (or a modern reproduction). Sean ended up doing the monster climb on a 42x24 fixed bike. When asked about the climb afterward, Sean deadpanned, "on the older bike, you have to stand up when you are pedalling. You can't just spin up like on a modern bike." You don't say!
